Does Amarok have an option to buffer an entire file into RAM?

No, but there should be no reason you would want to do this. xine does all the buffering we need, you can try tweak xine's buffering.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't used xine at all (in fact I believe it got downloaded by aptitude when I installed amarok). Guess I can look into how to go about setting it up to do so.
