Hello,
I recently switched from Windows/Windows Media to Ubutnu/Amarok. While the change has been great, I have a few concerns about how Amarok *might* be handling album covers. In Windows Media, adding cover art involved modifying the mp3 file itself to hold the art work as metadata. Therefore, when I transferred my mp3s to an iPod, all of the mp3s took their art work with them. However, in Amarok it seems as if adding/modifying art work happens outside the mp3 file itself (possibly in a database?). I am worried that when I resume ipod loading, the artwork I've been pulling in through Amarok's cool "fetch from Amazon.com" function might get scooped with the files. Is this correct? If so, is there a different way of appending cover art to mp3s through Amarok (aside from the "set album cover" function)... Thanks! |

1. embed cover to id3 tag with easytag
2. save cover.jpg or cover.png or cover.gif (whatever) in album folder works for 100% of the use cases for me.
