Hi I've been using Kubuntu (now on 8.1) for about 6 months and hardly boot to XP anymore. One of the few things I seem to have to use XP for is putting music on my MP3 player as it (Philips) use a plug-in for Windows Media Player.

Searching around there seems to be some suggestion that it is possible with Amarok but my system cannot find the player when plugged in. I'm sure though if the device is properly recognised at all by my PC as lsusb sees it but I can't find it in Dolphin (maybe I need to mount it, but I'm not sure how to do that either... sorry!). I'm using Amarok 1.4.10 and KDE 4.2 (although Amarok seems to think it's 3.5.10!)

Any help greatly appreciated as I can then never need to touch XP again (unless I want to do anything to my SatNav!)

Ta Matt
