There was allready a post on this subject.
The answer was that amarok was not though for this type of application.

But I wanted to add a comment on this answer :

The only feature missing to make amarok a minimal DJ for small party is the abylity to prelisten on a sound card a file (for example the current selected file, or by clicking on the right button) while playing the list as usual.
Naturaly, there is missing other functions important for a "real" DJ function.
But for a minimal DJ fonction for an improbable party between friends, leaving the interface to any user, it's enought.

This function would be great.
