due to subscription changes in last.fm
wich would make me pay for its services,
id like to ask how to remove last.fm features from amarok ?

and if someone knows an open source alternative ?

In Amarok 1.4.x I don't think there is a way to remove last.fm completely. In Amarok 2 simply go to settings->internet services and disable the last.fm plugin.
