Amarok and power consumption

Sat May 02, 2009 10:14 am
Hi,

I'm running amarok 2.1 beta 1 and for me amarok does wake up my cpu way to often.
Playback or not doesn't seem to make a difference, just sitting there it produces > 100 wakeups per seccond.

Code: Select all
25%       (111,9)            amarok : schedule_hrtimeout_range (hrtimer_wakeup)

Could others please confirm this? (use powertop to check)

regards

I can confirm this behaviour on Amarok 2.0.2 as well. Always more than 100 wakeups per second, regardless of playing/paused/stopped.

Try to uncheck the folder watching in Amarok and test again.

Disabling folder watch makes it go down to ~5 while not playing.

Thanks :-)
