hi people,
First i want to admit BIG  respect and many thanks for my favourite music environment what Amarok 1.4 is.
I was trying Amarok 2.0 and i was very disapointed to discover Amarok 2 is changing all Amarok 1 based gui to old drag-n-drop (from collection to playlist).

I was almost in love when i found Amarok gui features like "live" filtering by tags directly in collection, filling queue with shortcut, complex programming of famous and invisible playlist directly and intuitively from all my huge collection with only few clicks and keys, it is absolutely brilliant gui and i cannot get why Amarok 2 is changing this.

I want to ask why amarok changed that gui? Is it temporary for performance issues? Or is it intention of new generation?

Many thanks and nice summer time :-)

This essay from our developer Seb Ruiz explains a lot about Amarok 2:
