Some positive feedback

Wed May 27, 2009 9:33 pm
OK I just wanted to post, because I think the Amarok guys might be having a hard time atm, as with the whole KDE4 thing in general.... I've just found out that Amarok 2, as opposed to *every* MP3 player app I have *ever* used now does gapless playback PROPERLY - that is, if two tracks on a ripped CD were intended to run together (play back to back with no gap), they run together when I play the ripped album back in Amarok. Maybe it does this for all tracks... but hey, it's frickin' fantastic.. The Who Live at the Isle Of Wight now sounds like a rock concert.. thanks guys... you are doing the right thing.

(And as an aside... what with the whole 'KDE4 isn't finished yet' debate going on... I was so close to going back to Windows when I first tried KDE4... so close.... what kept me on Linux? 2 things - Pulseaudio, and Amarok.. thanks :) )
