That topic does not make much sens I must say...

Kubuntu unfortunately shipped 2.0.2 which is already very old, you should upgrade to Amarok 2.1. beta 1 which is available in the PPA repository or wait for the 2.1 final packages that should arrive in the repos in about a week.
Check our website http://amarok.kde.org and the developer blogs to know the current state of Amarok.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Amarok 2 is a non-starter for me since I mount my music remotely with SSHFS and use remote MySQL to index it.

I found these instructions and they seem to work for me:
