mp3s + tags + ratings + collection at home... so how can I use this from work?

I have my mp3s, manually set tags, ratings, lyrics, etc... everything in my home computer.
I would like to know what would be the best way to re-use this from work.

For example, can I just copy the mp3 to work and keep the tags + ratings + lyrics from home? If I change the tags at work will they be updated at home?
I mean, what I want is to re-use what I already have at home, while keeping things synchronized.

I'm sure almost everyone here has to deal with this issue.

Maybe doing ssh -Y and just launch amarok?
I'm not even sure that would work in respect to audio.
And there is the issue with security... my work computer isn't 100% secured, in the sense that other people can have access to it. One thing is the login:pass to amarok DB, the other is the login:pass to my home computer.

Thanks for any feedback!

Come on guys... nobody?
How do you manage in this situation?

IMO this isn't a minor aspect of collection management.

You could set up amarok in your workplace and use sshfs to mount the remote directory where your files are as a directory on your work PC. You could then add this folder to your collection. I don't know about any speed or security caveats, just an idea.
