Labels in Amarok 2.1

Sun Jun 14, 2009 3:22 pm
Hi :-)

I In Amarok 1.4, one could set labels, but unfortunately, they were not useable in a dynamic playlist due to some sql problems (If a song had the labels "punk" and "rock", and a dynamic playlist should load all songs having the label "punk" and "rock", nothing was returned, as no label could be "punk" and "rock" at the same time or so … the Amarok guys said this was not fixable for the 1.4 series due to the storage model).

So I hoped that labels would be implemented in a meaningful way in Amarok 2, but as of Amarok 2.1, there are no labels. Will they come back? I already looked at b.k.o if there is already a feature request for this but I didn't find one …

FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
