I have a minimal computer which I'm using to play Internet music in the basement.

How do I get Amarok 2.1 to start playing automatically after the computer boots?
I entered amarok %U as a command in /System/Startup Applications, but Amarok doesn't load any farther than the welcome screen.

what desktop are you useing kde 3 or kde 4 or gnome

on kde 3 and 4 anything put in your ~./kde/Autostart folder will be excuted on start
