First I tried "update collection". After that, the album folder in the collection browser was correclty filed under "AC/DC", but empty, even after a restart of amarok. After a "rescan" of the collection, everything including the Album Artist was correct.

Weeks ago, when you change something some trigger was launched and treeview are refreshed and collapsed. Now, in my case, that trigger is not launched so there is no refresh.
