This may not be the right sub forum as I'm requesting a plugin not a core feature but i would like a plugin that detects when a track has been silent for more than X seconds and then scans the track and goes to the where audio starts again. I have a few tracks that contain hidden songs after long pauses and I don't particularly want to edit the files, because i still want to be able to listen to the album in "full".
A few notes: I would still want some silence (e.g X+time taken to scan rest of track) I hope the implementation would not waste much CPU when there is no silence (e.g polling to see if the track is silent every X second and only scanning/listening in-between when necessary. not that I'm telling you how to code it just that low-CPU usage at the price of precise accuracy is cool and false negatives are much better than false positives) |

Good idea, RP! I have exactly the same desire as you do. Some silence, but not 2-5 minutes!
