Hi
I have read that Amarok can play video files. Its my first time with Amarok. I installed it on XFCE on Xubuntu 9.10. I guess all required plugins should be installed by default, but it was not the case. First I faced problems with sound (no sound). I solved it by installation of some xine plugins. Now I can play sound and its fine, but whenever I try to play MP4 I can hear only sound and don't see any video. I have Amarok 2.2.0. MP4 plays without any problems with XINE, so for sure I have all codecs. What plugin/setting could be missing ? regards Rafal |

Amarok doesn't play videos, you can play Videos found on Youtube for the currently playing song, though, with the video applet in the Context View.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Did you even bother reading this article? I talks about music videos. Also, look at the post date.
