Amarok is very slow

Specialy if i switch to the next track. It takes 1-2 seconds to jump(random) to the next track. Without random I got the same problem. All what is working with my playlist takes much time. Got 22k songs. Using Amarok 2.2 and gnome(ubuntu 9.10). What can I do?
PS: The **** also loves to crash... Killed my hole system once also! PPS: Starting also takes a looooooooooooooong time PPPS: Amarok is using very much cpu time |

You could start by upgrading to Amarok 2.2.1, see also http://kubuntu/news/amarok-2.2.1
