Hello,

I would like to be able to set Amarok to download podcasts at a regular interval from http://www.podcast.ucsd.edu

There are a number of classes that I would like to listen to. How can I add these podcasts to Amarok? Should it be done via the RSS feeds located on the UCSD podcast site?

I'm using version 2.1 on Ubuntu Jaunty. Thank you for your help.

Amarok 2.1 is very outdated. Please upgrade to 2.2.2, it's available for Ubuntu 9.10, and podcast support has been much improved:

Upgrading to Karmic now so that I can install 2.2.2 Maya Gold. Once I have that installed, how can I add UCSD podcasts to the podcast directory? Can I set it to subscribe to podcasts at regular intervals? I have never used Amarok before and could use some help, or at least it would be great to be pointed to a Wiki or FAQ with a walkthrough of podcast support in 2.2.2. Thanks!

At the left side of Amarok, there is a list. One entry in it is "Podcasts". Click this one.

Then, click "Add Podcast", and enter the feed URL there.

Hi, thanks for the tips. I can't seem to get Amarok to automatically download the latest episodes. Instead, I have to manually select download. Is this a bug, or is there something in the settings that I have to tweak?

If you are using 2.2.2 it should download automatically if so configured (Download when available).

If not you should report it as a bugs at http://bugs.kde.org make sure to select the podcast component or I might not see it.
