Allready tried that one, also this time, no change in behaviour.

bcooksley wrote:Also, try running Amarok on the command line like so, and post the output to a pastebin, posting the linking here.

Code: Select all
amarok --debug

I wiped the .kde4/share/config/amarok* files and ran amarok --debug --nofork
Same results - embedded database was not found. Output until the error shows up is here.

This is likely an issue with your installation, since Amarok cannot find / load amarok_collection-mysqlecollection.so which should be located in /usr/lib/kde4/

As for me, here's my output.

kbuildsycoca4 run output:
http://codepaste.net/duep75

Amarok output:
http://codepaste.net/gyy3a3

What do you make of this?

You're right, devs changed use flags for amarok ebuild, which I didn't see and did not expect and was not warned about this change :-/ . So the package was compiled without embedded support, which should be the default imho. Sorry to bother you all and thanks for quick help. :)
