Visualizations?? ProjectM??

Thu Mar 18, 2010 7:50 am
I just upgraded to version 2.3.0 of Amarok, running under KDE 4.4.1. How do I activate the projectM visualizations? I have all the projectM and libvisual packages installed on my SuSE11.2 system.... I do not even see a Visualization entry under the Tools menu any more so I do not have a clue as to how to invoke the visualization window! Thanks for any help offered..

Part of the work of porting visualisations to 2.3 have been done; see http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/Summer ... _in_Phonon . The Phonon code is done, and Sandsmark is planning on eventually doing the Amarok part of the code, but not right now. Our programmers have only 24 hours per day, just like the rest of us! I miss that little analyzer too.

In the meantime, you can compile projectm-pulseaudio, which will visualize any audio going through pulseaudio.
