I was very pleased when I found that amarok now supports my iPod Touch 3gen, including artworks!
Now I am just asking for some more, maybe there is a way to transcode flac to mp3 or aac on the fly? I know that amarok 1.4 has a script that can do it, but it doesn't support amarok since version 2
If added this function, I consider amarok the perfect way of managing my music library, much better than iTunes in Windows.

I miss that feature also. I thought it was pretty nifty in 1.4 (even if it didn't work 100% of the time).

I saw somewhere that developers are trying to include the feature in its original build, making it not work as a script but as a built-in feature. The idea is great but I don't think that's going to happen in near future. I hope so much there is an alternative solution for this because I have been so tired of converting music files in another program like soundkonverter( a great program though), then refresh the music collection in amarok in order to make the new files showing in local collection.

I found a script called "copy selected tracks", which works fine with my other non-apple player. It doesn't work with iPod because there is no such thing as "destination folder" in these apple ****.

Yeah - I do basically the same thing (soundkonverter), but I find it easier to just add the resulting mp3s from the amarok file browser, rather than add them to the collection.

I'm glad to hear, though, that it's being considered for inclusion in the amarok core.

I tried to add files from file browser, but the only problem is in the browser view it is impossible to set artworks for the albums. I NEED album covers in my iPod Touch, and it's the only reason I have been using it for music playing. The cover flow is just fancy. :D
