For about a week, amarok has stopped scrobbling my tracks to last.fm. When i enter my login details and apply, it asks to save in plain text since i don't use kde wallet, because i hate it. This has always worked, but recently, when i go back into the internet services > last.fm, my details are no longer stored there. I've tried deleting amarokrc config but no luck. I know if i install kde wallet it would probably solve the issue, but i don't want it. I'm using 2.3 Git on Arch 64.

Same problem here. Why on earth would you force us to use kdewallet? Although I didn't try to switch yet and can't confirm it actually solves this issue.
As for now my activity is not posted to lastfm and since it really sucks I'd love to hear some explanation from the developers. EDIT: is it really about kdewallet? Log says:
Seems unrelated.

Well, it's not about kwallet, not in my case at least.
After switching to kwallet the only difference is that Amarok now posts 'loved tracks' to last.fm (after using that heart-shaped icon within Amarok software). No audio tracks are scrobbled tho, still get the same error:
Any ideas? Seems like using kwallet only solved 1/10 of a problem.

ConnectionRefused errors usually indicate that connection to the server failed, hence it isn't Amarok's fault ( given that the host post.audioscrobbler.com doesn't respond to pings either... ) but a fault with last.fm.

It is working now without applying any changes, that would indicate you're right. Funny thing is that yesterday Amarok was the only player who wasn't able to connect to last.fm, hence my confusion.
