[Solved] I need help adding podcasts

Sun May 09, 2010 11:34 pm
I'm trying to add a couple of podcasts that aren't in the podcast db in the internet tab in amarok. When I try to add the rss feed nothing happens. The two podcasts I am trying to add can be found at these addresses...
http://www.forgoodreason.org
http://www.skeptic.com/podcasts/monstertalk/

I am not doing something right, are these feeds not compatible with amarok, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help, let me know if you need any more information.

I don't know how you tried to add a podcast subscription, but in Amarok 2.3.0 you just click on the "Add podcast" entry and add the podcast RSS line in the window that pops up. It works without problems here.

Are you sure you actually added the RSS address lines?

http://feed.forgoodreason.org/
http://monstertalk.skeptic.com/rss

are the exact lines to enter in the popup window for the subscriptions.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I was trying to add those feed urls, which weren't working. But, after I just restarted amarok, which had been open for a few days, I was able to add those two feeds with no problems. Again, thanks.
