I don't know if this is specific to Amarok per se (maybe it's a problem with powerdevil or something else), but I'm running on powersave mode off battery, my laptop will go to sleep even though Amarok is playing. I expect it to stay awake unless nothing is going on, e.g. no music or movie is being played, etc.
Can this be fixed? Is it a bug with Amarok or something else? I'm using Kubuntu 10.04 and KDE 4.4.5. |

Sounds more like a problem in powerdevil IMHO
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I should see whether it happens in VLC and other media players.
Ok, so it also happens when playing audio files in VLC and Dragon Player. I'll file a bug report for powerdevil. Update: Bug filed here https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=245909. |
