Hi all.
I'm Linux beginner and i have a question. I'm using Fedora 14 + Gnome + Amarok 2.3.2 Can someone please explain to me how to add radio stations from this webpage to Amarok. http://www.hrt.hr/?id=hrt-uzivo&ostaliformati=1 Every Radio station has three different ways to connect to (AAC+Winamp, Windows media, Real media). I have tried all possible combinations, but nothing seems to work. I'm very sad about it. Winamp in Windows plays all without problems, but I don't want to use Windows. Thanks in advance. |

Maybe there is a more convenient way, i am not aware of, but this works for me.

By the way: you could also install a script called "Croatioan Radio/Hrvatski
Radio" through "Script Manager".

Hm... I did it, but it does not work. No error message, but also no sound. If I choose stream from left pane: internet - cool streams... Some streams play, but some don't. |

When i start Amarok there is error message in the lower right corner. Something about phonon cannot play mp3 files...
I think this is problem with my playback. I'll google it and I will post solution if I find any. |

I have music in my speakers. It was a struggle and I don't know if it is the right way, but now I can hear my stations.
I have installed: - flash player - vlc - everything about xine Did this: http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/MP3_on_Fedora_Core Then this:
And finally: In Amarok settings - playback - configure phonon - backend, I set up VLC as prefered I don't know why it play now, but it does. Reason for troubles could be my 'problematic' sound card audiophile 2496, which has problems with pulseaudio. I'm so lost with all this linux settings. I'm pro with Windows, but here, I feel like total idiot. Most of the time I don't know what I'm doing. Just following some crazy solutions from forums... @isadora... thank you for your help |

Unfortunately, Amarok crashing on exit is a known bug with VLC, and we haven't been able to squash it yet. Work is ongoing!
I don't know anything about your soundcard, but perhaps pulseaudio needs to be tweaked so you can get sound in Youtube, which is flash? You can use Pavucontrol or the widget Veromix to play with PA. |

Fedora often installs with some audio outputs muted. Check with alsamixer -c0 and with pavucontrol. Both alsa and Pulseaudio need to agree for it to work.

Thank you for your reply.
I will try that.
I know. I did put this code to fedora startup:
And I did tweak my system with some help from the forums and successfully got my sound card to work. But yesterday I did all sorts of system changes trying to get output from amarok. And this is funny... Amarok works without problems. All streams I wanted are there and working, but all other software including system sound and youtube audio don't. Fedora is mute, Amarok works. |

I'm happy to announce that I got sound output to work outside Amarok.
I backed up to original /etc/asound.conf, restarted and sound is there. I'm so happy. Amarok rocks. |
