Does Amarok read id3 cover art?

Sun Jan 23, 2011 3:11 pm
Hello,

1) For me it seems that Amarok 2.4 doesn't read my cover art from the id3 tag of mp3 files, at least if the files have no album name.Since I tagged all my files with covers it looks quite boring playing them in Amarok. I enabled the option to write back cover art but that made no difference for reading. Is it already supported? I read bugreport https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=176402 where it is stated as fixed...May it be due to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259665, as single files (without album tag) are now sorted under various artists so that covers won't be displayed?
2) What is the current order of reading the cover/album art? I wish Amarok would first look inside the file itself (for cover,lyrics,...), then into the folder and lastly in the database/fetch cover from the internet.
