Amarok 2.4 MusicBrainz not working

Fri Jan 28, 2011 10:32 am
What is musicbrainz feature in Amarok for when it find track names only for right tagged tracks?

When i try to find by MB track named Anima Sound System - Dubocska, it returns Anima Sound System - Dubocska.

When ill try track 1 from unknown author, it finds nothing.
Dont tell me Amarok is searching by already set taggs, its sounds very silly... :D

Thank You for you hard work anyway!

How do you think musicbrainz works? It uses existing tags, or guess it from filename (if file don't have 'em) and tries to find this track in musicbrainz library. I guess that you need fingerprinting stuff - MusicDNS service. This service also available from MusicBrainz dialog, but you have to have libofa and ffmpeg installed, and amarok must be compiled with Its support. :)
