I have an Android phone that I play music on.
I have Amarok installed on a media server machine that I generally access via network. What I used to do in Amarok 1.4 was plug my Android phone by USB into my desktop computer, which is easily accessible, and then from Amarok I would just connect to the device. This was possible because there was an interface in Amarok where I could set up a pre-connect command to find the right directory over the network. However, in Amarok 2.2, I can't for the life of me find any way to accomplish this. I've read this page, which only really applies if you're connecting the device directly to the computer by USB: http://bausparfuchs.wordpress.com/2010/01/04/guide-how-to-get-your-ipod-work-with-amarok-2/ And I looked on the Amarok Wiki, but it is not clear at all where one writes pre-connection commands, or how this would be initiated from within Amarok: http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Media_Device:Considerations Since I'm connecting via a network, I don't see any way Amarok can be automatically alerted to the presence of the Android device(?). So I need a way from within Amarok to initiate the connection. Is this not possible anymore? |
