Playlists with MySQL enabled

Tue Aug 02, 2011 11:33 am
Opensuse 11.4, KDE 4.6, Amarok 2.4.0, MySQL 5.1.53-4.7.1
This used to work, but lately can't seem to get m3u playlists to show up under "Saved Playlists". The only way to see them is use the "Files" sort option.
Is there a fix?
Thanks.

If those M3U playlists are in the collection folders then they should be picked up by the collection scanner and be listed under "Saved Playlists".

If they are not in the collection folders or in $KDEHOME/share/apps/amarok/playlists they are not tracked by Amarok.

Have my music sorted alphabetically by: Music/XXX/Artist/Album with an m3u playlist in each of the music directories (and hence in the search directories), but they do not appear at all in the database... ie the amarokdb=>Playlists table is empty, playlist_groups is empty, and the playlist_tracks has 10 (valid) entries...?
Thanks, John.

Could you please upgrade to a more recent Amarok version, either 2.4.1 or 2.4.3 that was released yesterday?

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
