Hello,
can Amarok save labels (Stichwörter in german) to the file (like playcount stats)? If not, is this a planned feature? Thanks! |

Look in Settings > Configure Amarok > Local Collection and check which stats you want written to the file.

So, the answer is just no/no.

Not planned at this time, but you can still submit a wish: http://bugs.kde.org
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I'm asking because I've made the experience that the amarok database tends to become unstable and inconsistent over time (duplicate songs, songs not being scanned, ...), so I need to purge the database every one or two years. If labels are being saved to file I had all my valuable database information in the files and it could be restored from there.
Amarok uses the FMPS specification for saving playcount and ratings to file. The FMPS does not seem to spec fields for labels. I've entered a wishlist bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=294852 |
