Hello,

Amarok (2.5) seems to have an transcoding feature when files are being moved to another collection:

http://userbase.kde.org/Amarok/Manual/O ... ranscoding

However it does not seem to work here, when moving a mp3 file to my iPod it's just being moved without any windows to show up. For a FLAC file (not supported by iPod) it merely says the file was already existing on the device, which is not true.

Are there any additional scripts/libs needed for that feature to work?

EDIT: I've just seen that moving mp3 files to the iPod does not work either, the files are being moved just fine, but the iPod does not see them and when reconnecting to amarok they are gone.

Thanks,
Florian

I think you have to update the database on the iPod to see them, but I could be wrong.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

It seems to be the problem is that libgpod does not support iPod nano 6th generation... (kind of source: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1611473)
