I am looking to compile amarok for contributing to its code. I have been using http://blogs.fsfe.org/myriam/2009/09/26/compiling-amarok-from-git-locally-full-summary/ for instructions. I am getting error at

The problem is that you are using more than one taglib version. If you do not need support for Opus files, don't use the 1.9 version of taglib. You are better off to actually use the taglib version provided by the distribution.
I updated the README file in the source and the blog post, please update your git checkout and make a clean build once you have sorted out your taglib versions. BTW, when asking questions, please always specify which git checkout you are talking about (git describe) and state your exact KDE and Qt versions.

FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

It's not the cloning that is the problem, it is your installed libraries that Amarok depends on. You obviously have several taglib versions installed, when you should only have one.
Again, you didn't tell the KDE version and Qt version you use...
