Hi amaroKers,

I decided to wet your appetite a bit for 1.1 development, and post a list of the current changes in our development repository. Mind you, you can enjoy these features already today, if you try amaroK CVS.

We always welcome our users to try CVS, since this allows us to incorporate your feedback very fast! Enough talking now, here's the hot new stuff so far:

VERSION 1.1:
ADD: Playlist sliders (volume and position) now move directly when clicked
outside of the handle. (BR 83611)
ADD: Tagless tracks now go into Collection too, listed as "unknown".
ADD: Automatic album cover fetching is back and improved.
ADD: Option for automatically switching to Context when playback is started.
CHG: Stream timeout value is now determined from KDE user settings.
ADD: Support for password-protected streams, by wef .
FIX: GStreamer engine must not allow non-audio filetypes in playlist.
ADD: Icon for "Menu" button in toolbar. Improves Usability.

I was indeed just looking all over for an amaroK "icon" for my KDE menu (i.e. png or xpm, or whatever)

None of the iconsets at KDE-look.org seem to provide one either...

If such a file exists, can someone point me to it ?

(... my "search in the forums" here didn't provide me any pointers either...)

EDITED: the "little blue left-facing speaker" which appears on a tab while browsing (or by the http address) seems quite fine for the purpose... but where to find a .png version ? Or, is it just me not seeing it ?

That's odd, since your KDE menu should already show amaroK's little speaker icon since version 1.0. Must be something wrong with your install.

... now that I know the icon does in fact exist, I can now concentrate on my local KDE install (see what's wrong with it)...

P.S. What's the name of the icon file I should be looking for, then ? (a simple "Find file" for "*amarok*" in Konqui didn't show me any .png icons; only the "splash screen" file and a bunch of the amaroK "button" icons...

EDITED: Nevermind : I found the little bugger inside a recently downloaded iconset... then copied it to where my /usr/share/icons/default.kde file was pointing to... Still got no idea where the "original" might have disappeared to !

during the gentoo emerge, it's automatically being added to the menu...
