Release dates

Mon Sep 27, 2004 11:20 pm
Hi !

Next time you release amaroK, would it be possible to post a message to kde-i18n-doc@kde.org to inform the translators that the release is imminent ?

So that translators can translate on time...

Thanks

Sure. Sorry, we didn't know this was an accepted procedure, although of course it makes perfect sense.

Is there some web document to help developers cater to translators better?

I found this on http://extragear.kde.org/home/about.php :

Authors are expected to keep their release info up to date and to define freeze periods and release dates. If there is no i18n strings freeze and no release date then an app will not be translated - simple as that! Please note that the feature freeze is optional but recommended.

It seems it hasn't been done for 1.1.1...
