The question of acting in good faith has been raised, and just to clarify some points, I am posting here on the behalf of the amaroK developer\'s team

1) I am an avid fan of ElfQuest as a peek over on my bookshelf will show (in particular the lower left, next to the screen in this picture)
2) I am a member of the fan club, with membership card to prove it
3) I am not one of the devs as such, thoug I am one of the people that hang around in the channel and whose opinion get heard
4) The icon was the result of a competition run by the website KDE-Look.org for the amaroK team, and a discussion on the subject of legality (the submission by the same person who did the final icon, this is the icon that the final icon was based on) can be found here: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.ph ... 344#c80344
5) da-Flow who made the icon assured us that it was really a coincidence and that he did not try to rip anything off.

And the last, and rather important point: We will be switching to a different icon for the next release of amaroK. Which one this will be has not yet been decided upon, but rest assured that it will be not similar to the Warp logo
