i wrote a script for irssi which prints title and time (played, remaining and overall) of the current song. it can seek the current song by the given amount of seconds or minutes (relatively (e.g. \"-5 or +1:30\") or absolutely (e.g. \"2:15\" ) and, of course, skip to the next or previous song or pause/stop the current one. the best thing about this script is: you can do all of these even if amaroK is not running on the same pc your irssi process does - it uses ssh to pass the dcop commands to the other pc.
