Changing "score" from scripts

Mon Jun 06, 2005 11:33 pm
Hey all,

I\'d like to write a script to allow me to adjust the score of the currently playing song - probably something with a \"thumbs up\" and \"thumbs down\" button to increase/decrease the score. I find it tedious to right-click on the score each time I like/dislike a song.

Anyway, I can\'t see a way of adjusting the score from a script. Is this possible?

Cheers,

Justin

Install amaroK 1.3 beta 1:

FEATURES:

........

* New DCOP call \"player: setScoreByPath(url, int)\". Sets score of a track
specified by it\'s path.
* New DCOP call \"player: setScore(int)\". Sets score of the current track.

Cool!

Oh. Hold on. Not so cool. I\'m running Mandriva LE 2005 and from the amaroK-1.3 Readme:
Note: amaroK-1.3 will not compile on Mandriva LE2005 with KDE 3.3.2.

And I think upgrading to KDE 3.4 may break things. I guess I\'ll have to wait till Mandriva catches up...

Thanks for the reply.
