m4a support in collections

Fri Nov 04, 2005 4:50 pm
I have built amarok with source from SVN (with get-amarok-svn.sh script) with the intention of adding m4a suppot. Everything seems to compile ok and amarok works fine. If I manually load a m4a file amarok will read the tage and display it properly. However it will not add any m4a files to the collection.

I was under the impression that the having m4a support in taglib would allow this. Is there anything further I need to do?

No that should be it. Are you sure that it displays and edits .m4a tags correctly? amaroK always does a decent job of guessing what the artist and trackname are if there aren\'t any tags.

The collection scanner in SVN is currently broken for some users, thats more likely what the issue is.

svn update and rescan collection. I\'ve re-added the TagLib plugins yesterday.

Ok, I did that and it has now added the m4a files to the repository. Thanks
