first thank you very much to the amaroK developers for that great application, this is really one of the best "players" I know !

I have developed a  vdr (http://www.cadsoft.de/vdr/) frontend plugin to control amaroK 1.4 via a TV remote control. You'll find a screenshot at http://irimi.ohost.de.

With dcop this works quite good. But I would like to add some more features such as the control of own playlists and/or audio resp. podcast streams (that are playlists too) because dcop does not provide these functionalities.

It appears the main problem is that the playlists are not managed via the internal database (somewhere found in the forum) !?

Are there any plans to add some more dcop functionality to control the playlist in one of the next releases or have I wait for  version 7.2  ??

You mean like the static playlists?

They are all listed in an XML file in ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok
