hi
I'm running gentoo system with one single reiser4 partition, the problem is that amarok calls fsync on song change (if using sqlite), running fsync is very expensive under reiser4 (is not really needed becouse r4 does a great job with it atomicity and loosing last played song is not really a horror story for me) and couses amarok to freeze for 30-60 seconds. I disabled any fsyncs in sqlite and it fixed it but You could add an option in amarok for users that do not want or need it (or if it's possible detect what fs stores user preferences and enable/disable it). |

Why not discuss this with the sqlite devs.
