first you need to check this link http://forums.suselinuxsupport.de/index ... opic=42612

since i wrote that post i have gotten a hold of yaloki and he has helped me recreate the amarok db in my sql. This didn't help and also i have reinstalled mysql and amarok. All that did was to make the 2 dbs show the same problem as before it was different but on a theme, ie they didn't work.

after a lil discussion with a few ppl i know that are amarok users and know a lot morea bout linux and computing in general than i do it would seem it is possible that not only have i discovered a new bug but i am also the only person suffing the effects of it.

if needed 9with a lil help i can post the vesions of all my instal packages. FYI i have a custom built kernel, version 2.6.16.21 running on:-

AMD Athlon XP 3200+ (Barton Core)
1GB Corsair XMS DDR 333 RAM
Gigabyte GA-7N400 PRO 2 (NForce 2 chipset)
Nvidia Geforce 6800 GT 256 MB AGP
Creative Labs SB Live! 5.1 (emu10k1)
120Gb Maxtor Diamond Max Plus 9 hdd
NEC 4551A DVD+/-RW/CD-RW/DVD-RAM
Panasonic CD-RW/DVD-ROM 352B
Linksys WUSB54G V1.0

hope this info is a helpful start.
