Is there any available script plugin or option in Amarok that would vocally dictate (using speech synthesis) the artist, track name, etc. when a new track is played?  If not, I'm willing to make the plugin myself if someone would recommend an existing plugin that I could base it off of.  Thanks.

I don't know of any such script, but it should be pretty easy to make with the scripting interface.
