Hi. I want to get some data from Amarok from another application. I was looking into DCOP, but couldn't really get it to work with plain C. Now, that doesn't mean that it can't be done. Now I've used the "dcop amarok player ..." command...
Has anyone done this? Should/Can I use something else? Any tips? Best regards / Martin |

I am no expert on this, but my guess would be this:
- you can access the amarok database with SQL - you can use dcop by forking a process and reading in the output. - Look into the dcop library if it does the interfacing for you (not sure if it does, but give it a try)

It's his last part I wanna try. My tries have been less than successful - only resulting in lot's of errors. I would like to see some example. |
