I use KUbuntu 6.10 with Amarok 1.4.5. Everytime a USB-stick or Digicam is connected to the PC Amaroks asks me what to do with it. No matter what I say, Amarok crashes. Because I use the packages from kubuntu.org the binaries are stripped and so I can't provide a backtrace.

Is there a way to tell Amarok to not listen for any USB devices? This crashes are really annoying because I loose my playlist(position) every crash.

It'd be quite helpful if you could build from SVN with debugging on, because based on my experiences and those of many others (who've never reported a crash) I don't have much idea in terms of where to look.  You can do this in your home directory so that you don't need to mess with packages on your system.  There's a guide here:
