Well, if the next amarok's release will contain video support, it would be great if amarok includes a youtube script for search videos and can play them through the same amarok...
What do you think about it? |

That's probably a nice idea for a third party script, but we wouldn't bundle it.

Well...last.fm offers videos now, why not bundle them?

Amarok is a music player, if you start adding things like this it will just get bloated like windows media player

So music clips have nothing to do with music? Weird... |

I agree. Amarok is for playing audio, not video - no sense in wanting to make everyone happy, because then noone will be (*cough*windowsmediaplayer*cough*)

I like the idea of having another tab to the right of the Artist tab that will automatically search for an artists videos on youtube. would be sweet.

I know this is an old topic, but I have recently created a website(its in my signature) where you can create a playlist from YouTube videos, and using the iTunes link for your playlist, you can import the playlist into Amarok and listen to them. (I'm doing it now)

I've just created a Video applet for Amarok 2, which is intended to play music videos, e.g. from Youtube
Works pretty well actually, except that Phonon-xine refuses to play Youtube URL's directly at this point, because of the missing .flv extension.
