I compiled amarok 1.4.7 stable from source with "--enable-debug=full --enable-mysql --prefix=`kdeprefix`" but I can't get verbose output in a terminal I'm running amarok from.
Is there a hidden switch (amarok --help doesn't show anything similiar)? I would like to see why amarok can't submit played tracks to last.fm these days, so I need a detailed log. |

1) Make sure that you are actually running the Amarok binary that you've compiled, and not another installed version. Remember that Amarok needs to be installed (if you don't pull some tricks), otherwise it'll simply load the previously installed libamarok.
2) Start the tool "kdebugdialog" and make sure that "Generic" is enabled.

I have only one instance of amarok installed. Now I uninstalled version from source and installed from repository (packman - opensuse 10.3). I also installed amarok-debugInfo package and it is the same thing as it was
when I start "amarokapp". If I run "amarok" I get less than that. Kdebugdialog is full of checkboxes (everything). |

re last.fm thingy, have you checked their website for updates regarding submission server status? There have been intermittent problems recently that are at their end.
