Getting Access to Lyrics Content from Lyrics Tab

Hi, I'm aiming to write a script that modifies the lyrics of songs after being fetched, to add romanization depending on the language (CJK, Russian etc.).  How would I intercept the lyrics before they are printed in amaroK, and then reprint them after modification?

So I would have to use my own lyrics script entirely, or modify an existing one then?
