Im wantig to develop my own software,and i have no idea on what program to download or use to develop with, it looks like most developers want to keep it a secret. so if anyone knows what i can use for free (including non trial or registure) please email me or reply back

quite simply, "I'm a noob with source codes!!", tells me that he doesn't have a preffered language, and that he has grown a wild hair, deciding that he is going to create the next Amarok. My suggestion, if this IS the case, is go learn java. Of all the popular Upper-Level Object Oriented Coding languages out there, it is the easiest. If you want to aid in the Amarok development, then you need to learn C++ (if I am not mistaken).

If I was completely wrong there, and you do know what you are doing, then I suggest eclipse
