Hi,
In first, controlling VLC is easy to do because he implements a web remote control (I don't know how exactly it's works...) But controlling Amarok 2 with a web frontend interests me because I've buyed a HTC Hero with Android. I've found a program who can control Amarok 1.4 with a special web frontend (REST like), but it doesn't work in Amarok 2. I'm trying to develop an equivalent script for this, but I don't know how making a REST like frontend with QTScript... I think that a solution for your problem can resolve mine http://jsharkey.org/blog/2008/08/20/ama ... coppython/ I've already adapted the Android program for cupcake.
Excuse my english.. please

Well, it can't, Amarok 1.4.x used dcop, Amarok 2.x uses D-BUS. See also this page: http://wiki.xmms2.xmms.se/wiki/Media_Player_Interfaces
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Hi,
I just published my Amarok web frontend. I have Amarok running on a kind of media center PC and I use this frontend to control Amarok from my notebook, netbook and hopefully soon from a WLAN enabled mobile phone. Have a look at it: http://webarok.sourceforge.net |
