Record Streams

Fri Oct 16, 2009 5:46 pm
I was wondering if there was a way i could use a script to take the running stream and duplicate the data it was outputing to amarok and put it into a file. I'm hoping i can just use javascript/Qtscript but if that is impossible, i'm sure there is some way to do this in c.
Thanks.

there is a RecordStreams script that should be installable from the Amarok script manager or found on kde-apps.cog

I was thinking more of a solely javascript/QTscript or solely c, but I'll look at the source and that should send me in the right direction.
Thanks.

Don't know, if you've checked the script already, but it is Javascript/Qtscript.

Yes, but it uses the scripts to call StreamRipper, which is in c

Sorry, but I really don't know, what exactly you want? A script, which records the stream without an external application, written in Javascript/Qtscript or in C?
Beside that this is not UNIX-like, what's the reason?
