I just made a small script to transfer the user rating information from MTP device to amarok:
mtp-rating.py

Just plugin you MTP device and run the script while amarok is running. The script uses the libmtp to get the track information from MTP device. And use DOCP to transfer the rating to amarok. Only the rating for the corresponding music in the amarok collection database will be changed. It is not necessary to have any qt or kde binding. The work is done through shell process.

The same principle can be used to transfer album art and so on from MTP to amarok.

Does anyone knows how to write rating information back to MTP device?

What version of Amarok are you talking about?
